Dinnet House is approached along a mile long avenue of lime trees that opens up to reveal the Victorian shooting lodge, on the banks of the River Dee, which has been in the family since 1896. History and family meet in fine baronial style. A welcoming, grand hall leads to the morning room where everyone gathers for afternoon tea and before dinner. The large classical dining room, which has a table that can seat 22, and a smaller table for 8, has wonderful views over the terrace. A treat of home made shortbread awaits in the comfortable and cosy three bedrooms, two of which have stunning views down to the water; the other looks north to the hosts' very own
mountain, Morven. Within its own vast estate, the grounds alone around the house extend to 50 acres, including a tennis court and colourful explosions of buttery daffodils in spring and vibrant rhododendrons and azaleas in June.
