Dalhenzean Lodge lies in the dramatic mountain scenery of Glenshee, surrounded by majestic views on all sides and just a few yards from the famous Cateran Trail, a spectacular signed walk, and from the Shee Water, a notable salmon river. The house itself dates from 1715 and is a former hunting lodge of the historic Dalhenzean Estate. This substantial stone-built property is now a comfortable family residence offering two guest double bedrooms with en-suite or private facilities. Excellent access is provided by the main A93 Perth to Braemar road, which passes close to the house and from which there is direct access to the private driveway. The Guest Bedrooms are either en-suite or

I have selected the properties on Private House Stays for their individuality that results from being privately owned. They take many forms from bed and breakfasts to small hotels but in each case it is the marque of the owner that sets it apart. This may be the charm of the furnishings, the wholesome home cooking or simply the atmosphere created by a charismatic host. I have inspected most of the establishments listed here and feel sure you will enjoy staying in them too.
Remember - booking through Private House Stays is free of charge.
