Culgower House is a Victorian farmhouse, built around 1850 and is now a beautifully refurbished family home where we offer warm hospitality. It is ideally placed for exploring the north highlands of Scotland. As well as glorious beaches within walking distance, the area is ideal for walkers, golfers, mountain bikers, fishers and those wishing to explore the history of the highlands. Our bedrooms have been carefully refurbished and styled to reflect the age, character and location of the house. Both have king size beds, sea views, flowers, wireless internet and their own bathrooms with large baths and showers. In addition, one room can operate as a family room and the second can be altered to a twin bedded room. The public rooms
have been similarly restored and are kept for the sole use of our guests. Breakfast is served in the dining room and is prepared using as much local produce as possible, including fruit, vegetables and herbs from our garden and eggs from our hens.

I have selected the properties on Private House Stays for their individuality that results from being privately owned. They take many forms from bed and breakfasts to small hotels but in each case it is the marque of the owner that sets it apart. This may be the charm of the furnishings, the wholesome home cooking or simply the atmosphere created by a charismatic host. I have inspected most of the establishments listed here and feel sure you will enjoy staying in them too.
Remember - booking through Private House Stays is free of charge.
