With five en-suite bedrooms, complete with welcome trays, hair dryers and tv's, the guest house is spacious and airy but small enough to offer an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. Within walking distance of the nearest village, Cuil an Daraich appeals to both the adventurous visitor and those simply seeking a highland retreat away from the hustle and bustle of "real life" The River Tay is world renowned for salmon fishing but many visitors come to Pitlochry to walk and, increasingly, to cycle. The Perthshire hills attract a wide variety of wildlife, flora and fauna. Idealy placed for all the Perthshire Highland games, The Enchanted Forrest, Etape Caledonia's closed road bike race. Located just off the A9, approximately five miles south of Pitlochry, Cuil an Daraich is the ideal base for exploring further afield - Edinburgh is an hour and a half away, Glasgow and Inverness 2 hours away.

Pitlochry
Pitlochry is surrounded by hills and both the walking and shopping in the town are excellent. The cultural highlight is the Pitlochry Festival Theatre, held in the Festival Theatre across the River Tummel and accessible by an interesting suspension bridge. Another, very unusual, attraction in Pitlochry is its very own dam, which was built across the River Tummel to create Loch Faskally with a "fish ladder" that allows salmon to make their way upstream to spawn. Visitors can actually see the fish making this supreme effort at the right time of the year through glass walls in the ladder.
