We are situated in the quiet Gaelic speaking crofting village of Staffin. Staffin is 16 miles North of the capital Portree, 50 miles from the toll free bridge and a 20 minute drive to Uig ferry terminal. The house is off the main road and has stunning panoramic sea and mountain views of the Trotternish Ridge from the Old man of Storr to the Quiraing. Staffin is the ideal place for exploring the north end of Skye, There are various walks for all levels, spectacular scenery, loch fishing, boat trips and in nearby Kilmuir there is the Skye Museum of Island Life. There are a eating places in the village, two shops and an Internet Cafe. We have lived on the island all our lives and will be more than happy to share with you our knowledge of local history, culture, scenery, wildlife and other attractions. We look forward to welcoming you to our bed and breakfast guest house in this magical area of the Isle of Skye. Enjoy walking, climbing, fishing, cycling or just relax and enjoy the scenery.

The Private House Stay's Guide
Skye
Skye is one of Scotland's most popular tourist destinations for outdoor pursuits, wildlife and visitor attractions. The most popular destination is the Cuillins, the greatest concentration of peaks in Britain. They provide some of Scotland's best climbing and have become a mecca for all serious and experienced walkers. Equally spectacular are the bizarre rock formations of the Trotternish Peninsula. Major attractions include Dunvegan Castle, Armadale Castle, The Museum of the Isles and the Museum of Island Life. Kyleakin is a good base from which to hire a moped or bicycle for exploring Skye.
