Jenny Linzee Gorden has dedicated the lower ground floor of her home at Number 29 to guests, and offers bed and breakfast accommodation in 2 double bedroom throughout the year, with another double bedroom available for parties of friends or family travelling together. Stone steps (left) give access to your own front door. This is a quiet, central place to stay. Princes Street is 8 minutes' walk away, Waverley train station 10 minutes, and although there is metered parking outside, free parking is available 5 minutes
walk away. Jenny (who also has a self-catering apartment in Hart Street for 4 to 6) knows Edinburgh well and is happy to help with advice about eating out, restaurants, etc.

I have selected the properties on Private House Stays for their individuality that results from being privately owned. They take many forms from bed and breakfasts to small hotels but in each case it is the marque of the owner that sets it apart. This may be the charm of the furnishings, the wholesome home cooking or simply the atmosphere created by a charismatic host. I have inspected most of the establishments listed here and feel sure you will enjoy staying in them too.
Remember - booking through Private House Stays is free of charge.
