The booking process is made simple by providing information on properties locations and room availability at the first point of contact.

The Association only invites quality accommodation to join the association although a variety of tariffs are available and properties can range from Castles to more modest chalets. However the intention is to attempt to sign up accommodation in all areas of Scotland where accommodation may be required for both tourism and business. In areas where the accommodation need is high but the supply of suitable accommodation is limited, the Association will still attempt to sign up the best options.
The Association centrally organises Internet marketing on behalf of its members in order to make a market presence for smaller businesses and those accommodation providers that take in guests on a small scale or irregular basis. Unlike hotels or larger guesthouses, there is usually no 24 hour reception at member properties and limited staff beyond the owners themselves. Thus room availability and the ability to book without reference to prior contact with the accommodation provider becomes paramount. No reservation is made as a result of submitting a booking request until confirmation is received back from the accommodation provider by e-mail.
There is no booking charge levied on clients wishing to make reservations at member properties and payment is made direct to the accommodation on arrival or departure. Credit card or Debit card information is usually required in order to make the reservation but is used only for identity verification and is automatically deleted from the Association administration after completing the stay. The Association will also encourage all accommodation to provide broadband internet access and VOIP telephones in all the rooms and to expect clients that book through the Association to be computer sophisticated and part of a growing trend of people seeking to organise their own accommodation and tourist or work agendas.
