Archie Bouverie's guide:
Morar

This 84 mile railway that starts at Fort William and goes to Mallaig is one of the great engineering marvels of the world. The line crosses the amazing Glenfinnan viaduct and features a scheduled steam train each day that has been made famous as the Hogwart's Express in the Harry Potter films. The railway then passes Arisaig from where you can catch ferries to Rum, Eigg and Muck and beaches made famous by the film Local Hero. Arriving at Mallaig you get lovely views across the Sound of Sleat to Skye and delicious shell-fish. A ferry runs to Armadale in Skye during the summer months.
