Archie Bouverie's guide:
Loch Lomond

Britain's largest inland waterway measures 22 miles long and at certain points up to five miles wide. The proximity to Glasgow makes the Loch a playground for day-trippers, speedboats and jet skis. In spring 2002 this area became Scotland's first National Park. The Loch Lomond Authority Visitor Centre has information on the loch's natural history, flora and fauna. At the southern end of the loch is the resort town of Balloch and the National Park Gateway Centre which provides information about the national park and where you can also book a loch cruise, hire bikes, kayaks or sailing dingies.

What is a Bed and Breakfast?

The term Bed and Breakfast (aka B&B) is merely a generic term that implies that there might be limited facilities for guests outside of a bedroom and a breakfast in the morning. (Some B&Bs, especially in rural areas, do offer lunch and dinner!). Learn more about accommodation types
