Expand Search: All Rothesay and Cowal Accommodation (7)Rothesay is the principle town on the Isle of Bute, which has a wonderful location dominating the entrance to the Clyde. From Bute a small ferry at Colintraive makes the hop over to the Cowal penninsula which like much of Argyll is stunningly beautiful. As part of a tour of Argyll there is much to recommend in taking the Portavadie to Tarbert ferry from off the Cowal penninsula to Kintyre and then travelling on to Islay.
